Warm hellos to all,

On Saturday night, my wife and I participated in a special evening at
my son's school. The evening's theme wasAfrica and the event was
called "The Road to Timbuktu."  We dined on authentic foods from
Africa, listenedand danced to an African dance and drum troupe, and
had a ball. The evening was a fundraiser for his gradeeight class graduation
next year. Linda and I were the official bartenders and I noticed on the
wall beside the bar,a beautiful photo of a Lion on the Serengeti.
Beneath the photo was an inscription that I thought should be the THOT
for your week.

Here is what it said:

                            The Essence of Survival
"Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run
faster than the fastest Lion, or it will be killed....
Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest
Gazelle or it will starve to death....
It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle. When the sun
comes up, you'd better be running...."

Pretty well sums it up doesn't it?

You see, it really doesn't much matter how successful or large your practice is,
or how small. No.

What matters is that you are out there being the best that you can be,
each and every day.
.....And what matters even more is that when the sun comes up, you have
another wondrous day to do what you love.
Yes. Another chance. A new beginning. No mistakes. A whole day to yourself. 
Today.  A brand new gift.

Perhaps that's why they call it the Present.
