Warm hellos to everyone!

Enough being Mr. Niceguy......I need to talk to you about Fear.

Ok......I have to be brutally honest with you all: Fear is crippling -
we all know this.
And all of us face it daily in our lives in one way or another and in
varying amounts.

I decided to write on this issue because many doctors I speak with
are absolutely crippled with it. Most are totally immersed in the fear
of failure. Many are barely hanging on and just a moment away from
that line that separates bankruptcy and survival. ...and they are hoping
for some miracle, some amazing wish, some magic dust to descend
upon them and fix their life. I want you to know that it is not Ok!!!

I also want you to know that there is no magic, there is no magic dust,
and there is no weekend voodoo that will get your buns out of the sling.
Let me also state that Fear of failure is real....and so I fear of success.

Both are crippling.

Listen....Sometimes fear is healthy. Fear of personal harm when facing
a potentionally dangerous situation, is normal. Fear of failure is not.
It is imagined fear. The problem is that it appears real to those who
imagine it. I want you to also know that it is in your power to overcome it.
I know...I know....your problem is different. Your problem is huge, bigger
than most. I get it. But....you are not listening to me.... it is in your power to
overcome it - whatever it is. This, I need you to totally get. We simply cannot
have Chiropractors out there not succeeding. It is not ok! There are too many
kids and their parents who need you, and your wonderful hands! The problem
is that you are so fixated on your world, you cannot see the forest because
the damn trees are in the way! Get over yourself!

This may seem harsh, but you need to get yourself out of your own way
and see yourself as others see you - a winner, an amazing person, a
fabulous doctor. And if you are stuck
....allow me to help you.

That is why I write my THOTS each week - I am your beacon home - a
place you can turn to and feel centered again.

....And here's the "thing"; in your heart, you absolutely know that I'm right.

So....let's do this and let's get you succeeding amazingly.
