Warm hellos to everyone!

Two short weeks ago I started on a train of thought with the topic being
"We Save Lives."
Remember? I mean..how could you not? I pushed all your buttons!

I wanted to add a few more ruminations to it - what a surprise!

I speak with doctors from all over the planet and the one theme that
seems to permeate most practices is this: L.A.C.K. Many doctors are
firmly entrenched in the belief that this will always be their lot in life - lack.
Their thinking and their whole being exudes this mantra. It is absolutely
not ok!

Here is how I feel it starts:
You are in your third year, one more to go before you graduate. You can't
wait to finally look after your own patients. Yea! Cool! Awesome. Finally!
Let me at ‘em!
You're ready!

So... you talk with the interne just ahead of you and ask him what it's
like in clinic.

Here's what you hear. "It's hard, few new patients, no referrals, I don't know
what I'm doing, can't get new any ones, ran out of all my relatives, etc." - LACK.

And when you get to your last year, you ask those who have just graduated
ahead of you and are finally living their Dream and here's what they say: "It's
hard, no new patients, life is difficult, had to get a part-time job, expenses are
killing me, can't get new ones, my family life sucks - my wife (husband) is thinking
of leaving me, etc." - LACK.

Some of you reading this are probably thinking: "Yea, he's right. It's hard, no
new patients, expenses are killing me, ....etc."
Alright...That's enough!

One of the reasons is that this is exactly the sequence you have learned to expect.

You need to get this really clearly: You are running a preview of your coming
attractions!
And I've always felt that if you don't like the previews, you will absolutely not
like the movie!

What you are constantly seeing in front of you is what will manifest in your life!
For those of you who have seen THE SECRET, you know that the Universe will
provide you with whatever you place your attention on and whatever you focus on.
Well....guess what your attention is on?
You're right.

L.A.C.K.
This is devastating!

Why?
Because it weakens your position with the Universe and with Spirit. Your attention
is on LACK - on that which you do not want but continually have. Your life partner
becomes upset because this is not the life she/he has bargained for and you are
devastated because you just cannot see how to provide a better one - nothing
seems to be working!

The result is that you are now thinking; "This is my lot in life. I will not get anywhere
else.
This is my life. I am burned out, I have no purpose. This Chiropractic thing is for the birds."
Devastating!

So...in order to have any sort of a life, you begin to compromise your values - survival
takes over.
And you hate it!
You begin to practice from the perspective that you need to make a buck.

You begin to think more of survival than the patient in front of you - and your
patients totally read you. Your focus is a practice where you are a slave to your
patients. You need your patients - they don't need you!

You add acupuncture to the services you offer, and Massage therapy, and orthotics,
over-the-door traction units everywhere, a tire rotation centre on the side, and
vitamin sales, and rehab, and even sprinkle some magic for the difficult cases.

Let's-make-a-deal is not a reality game show. No. It takes over all your office
procedures.
And in some attempt to become successful and have your family proud of you,
...you finally enlist in that marketing seminar you've been eyeing. You know the one.
The one with all the bells and all the whistles. The one that promises you tons
of new patients pouring into your office through every crack and crevice. The
one that hustles you into joining because you are so weakened and would do
anything to survive. And still your practice doesn't really increase but now there's
so much more activity that your are actually BUSY! Yes. You are busy. You've
never said this before and you like the sound of it. BUSY...let me savor that word.
Yea! I'm there. I am busy! And your CAs now say this mantra: "The doctor is busy!"
WOW! You relish in it! Cool! You've made it! Finally!

The problem is that there just is not all that much more revenue, but it feels
good to troll the Malls every weekend and be busy!

Listen....I know that I've just pushed a lot of buttons. The sad reality is that
this is what I see in at least 80% of the offices I chat with. It is Not Ok!

One thing you need to realize is that you are a chiropractor. You have magic
in your hands.
You are connected to a higher power that does the healing. You are part of the
vibrational energy of the Universe. You need to see yourself in a different role -
that of a healer rather than a hustler, or a vitamin rep, or a salesman, or an
orthotic rep, or a physio.
Yes! When you touch people, they should feel your power. They should feed
off your energy. And here's the one thing I never want you to forget:

People want what you have - they just don't know what you do!
So tell them!
Practice from the perspective that people need you, you do not need them!
There's a concept!

Think ABUNDANCE in your life. Think larger than you dare. Concentrate on it.
Feel it. Be it. The Universe will provide you with that which you place your
attention on.

Don't be second-rate, for you are not. Be an amazing doctor! That is what
your community wants.
Be the doctor you've always envisioned being.
